The old schooner Isla Mauritia was built in 1852 and sails from Grand Baie along the North West Coast to Balaclava. It follows the path Portuguese seafarers used when they discovered Mauritius in the Sixteenth Century.
The Isla Mauritia crew provides musical entertainment and there is time to swim and snorkel the beautiful coral reefs that surround this tropical paradise before ‘dropping anchor’ and going ashore for a picnic lunch on the beach. In the afternoon, on the way back to Grand Baie, coffee and pastries are served! |
