Ngoma Safari Lodge is 34 miles from the nearest town, Kasane, and 83 miles from the magnificent Natural Wonder of Victoria Falls. Your own exclusive river-facing suite (one of only eight for exclusivity) offers a quiet refuge and includes an indoor bathroom, indoor and outdoor showers, and a private outdoor sanctuary

                                

It is from here, where you will be able to gaze out onto the floodplain and Chobe River, the lifeblood of the area. Famous for its large elephant herds Chobe National Park, which is the second largest national park in Botswana covering some 11 700 square kilometres, has some of the largest concentrations of game found on the continent of Africa. Game drives in this park are legendary, with sightings of herds of more that 100 elephants at any one time being the norm. For the birding enthusiast the Park provides a kaleidoscope of species, in what is one of Africas finest birding safari locations

Depart after dinner and return at about 10:30 - 11:00PM depending on the sightings

This includes a cruise on the Chobe River, a game drive in the Chobe National Park and a sumptuous picnic lunch. Depart after breakfast and return at approximately 6:30PM

 Game drive sightings may include literally hundreds of elephants! Often times your vehicle may need to stop as these majestic animals cross the road to make their way to the river. One may see up to 15 different species of animals on any one game drive, including waterbuck, lechwe, puku, giraffe, kudu, roan and sable, impala, warthog, bushbuck, monkeys and baboons, as well as some predators like lion, leopard, hyena and jackal.

Hippo, crocodile and a huge number of birds are common sightings on the river cruise

PASSPORT – you must make sure that your passport is valid for at least 6-months after your intended return date back home E.G. if your intended return date home is September 01, 2011, your passport must be valid up until and including March 01, 2012

VISITOR'S VISA – you will require a visitor's visa to enter the country. It is not necessary to apply for your visitor's visa ahead of your arrival. It will be issued on arrival at your point of entry into the country. Please make sure that you have two consecutive blank pages in your passport for local Immigration to issue your visitor's visa. We provide you with a PDF downloadable visitor's visa application form with your final travel documentation to complete ahead of arrival. You will not require passport photographs when obtaining your visitor's visa upon arrival.
